Here is a video that the infants can use to remember their songs as they do their Jolly Phonics work at home.

Counting and Ordering Games
Click the pictures below to play two games we used in class to help with counting and ordering.
Junior Infants should use each game to practice their numbers and counting. Seniors can try some of the higher levels beyond 10.

Great first week!
We had a great first week here in NJS. The senior infants welcomed our new junior infants to their first days of school.
The shiny new junior infants all settled in really well and enjoyed the week - even if it was a little tiring!
We started our Jolly Phonics sounds, learned new songs - Slap the Sillies Out was very popular.
On Friday we created our own art by taking a line for a walk.
Enjoy the weekend.

Bosco the Scarecrow
Yesterday Oliver's mum came in and helped the infants make a scarecrow for our vegetable patch. The infants decided to name him Bosco after the puppet we saw at the theatre last month.

Grandparents Day
Friday the 14th of June was Grandparent's Day at NJS.
The infant classroom was a buzz of excitement with everything from golf, juggling, clay pottery, storytelling, guitars and singing going on. We all had a great time and we would like to thank all the grandparents for coming in.
